If it's that old then it's definitely time to retire it, and put it up for sale. I'm sure that someone would be willing to pay what it is no longer worth; there are people who would value it as the antique that it is.
BTW, if you wish, and if you're willing to pay for shipping, I'd be glad to donate a far better box for your use, for free!
