Job Title : BI Architect.
Location : Jackson, MI.
Duration : 6+ months

Skills Profile:
The BI architect will be responsible for the growth of the BI application from a business perspective. They will work with the BI Business Relationship Management (BRM) Team and Business SMEs to determine the nature of BI solutions and determine the best tools to meet the business requirements for developing reports and analytics. The architect will align the various requests from the business to assure that there is a single solution that aligns with the existing BI environment: The role includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Review BI related tickets and projects to validate solutions and provide solutions
Provide high level estimates of timing to complete the tickets and projects
Work with the BI team to develop and/review requirements for detailed business requirements reporting and analytics
Work with Business Partners and SMEs to adopt the business tools
Support the requirements and business case updates to support addition BI functionality
Partner with the business to prioritize IT initiatives and ensure successful implementation
Ensure existing technology is optimized and leveraged
Report the status of requested BI tickets and projects

The BI Architect will:
Partner with BTS IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture teams to identify strategies, trends and opportunities that will add value in support of business direction and goals
Partner with IT Governance and other BRM teams on prioritization and overall project and portfolio management regarding BI related projects or projects requiring BI
Partner with all BTS departments to ensure successful delivery of projects and enhancements
Partner with BTS Applications & Managed Services to ensure that system operations are maintained within agreed upon service levels

Experience/Education/Training/Other:
Requires a bachelor's degree in an Information Technology or Business related field.

Requires the following:
Experience leading teams with demonstrated results.
Knowledge of financial planning and estimating processes
Desire to develop knowledge of BI trends and strategies with strong focus on applying those strategies toward creation of business value
ensure successful implementation
Ensure existing technology is optimized and leveraged
Report the status of requested BI tickets and projects
