Take the printer back, you cannot do much to repair a printer

My Brother printer indicated it was out of ink so I went to Staples and
purchased all new ink ($60) but after changing inks, it tells me it is out
of Blue ink. All colors of the ink was replaced. What can be wrong, and can
it be fixed. This printer has not had much use.
