When you say it didn't work, can I assume that you mean it didn't fix it? Or did the commands not work?

If you're connected via wire from the computer to the modem, try this:

In the Command window, type:

ipconfig /all

and let us know what it reports in the section "Local Area Network"

(it may go by fast and you have to scroll back up to see it)

I mostly want to know what it reports for:

Ip address

Default Gateway

and Primary and Secondary DNS

let us know
