To help give you some idea how Webmail works...please try another computer or Linux Live CD, then log into the Yahoo Webmail, I prefer Classic Yahoo, but hopefully it doesn't matter. Your emails should still be there, unless you checked for Thunderbird to act like nasty Outlook Express and auto-download them, without leaving a copy on the Yahoo servers. Maybe the Yahoo Chat thing will work there, too.
Did you try to rollback to a time when it worked the way you wanted?

My yahoo email page with the yahoo beta mail has become attached to the Mozilla Thunderbird. I have some very personal emails in it and I am going to try and copy and paste them. But if I do this and then unlink the page from Mozilla Thunderbird, I will have no yahoo email address at all. My Yahoo mesenger won't let me add contacts and so a while ago I tried to get a new messenger but I must have done something wrong and it is saved to a folder and when I try to send it to my desktop, it will not go. All my colour settings and contact are not right and I don't know how to change them. I really don't know what to do
