[Simply Computers] Re: Win 7 desktop switch glitch

Hello

Back in Windows XP, if one had the "Quick launch" toolbar enabled on their desktop, there was an icon for " View Desktop", which would do what it sounds like you are experiencing.

In Windows 7, that has been removed, and replaced by rather small, transparent rectangular area on the extreme right of the taskbar.

Should your mouse wander into this area, all your open windows will momentarily disappear and you will see your Desktop.

Could this be what is happening to you?

However, if it is happening in all areas of your screen, it may be a faulty mouse driver, in which case you can download an updated one from the Logitech website.

It has a problem where the browser (Safari for Windows) view spontaneously switches to desktop view; the outlines of smaller windows that were open and browser window inexplicably switch to desktop background (I'm using Blue Water desktop background). Moving Logitech MX310 optical mouse forward/backward causes browser windows to reappear (mouse worked fine on old XP32 system). A real nuisance! How to correct this?
