Yes it is from Microsoft and should have the drivers on it and I also think that Windows XP Pro was the best OS that has ever came out myself.

You're not alone.

I've used Windows 7 since it first came out, but prefer XP.

I think you'll find that most computers on the market today are "64 bit", but that refers to the processor, not to which version of Windows will run on it.

32 bit versions of Windows run just fine on 64 bit processors.

(this computer is running 32 bit Windows 7 on an AMD 64 bit processor)

Is your old XP disk a Microsoft one, or one from another computer (Dell, HP, Toshiba, etc.)? If it's not a genuine Microsoft disk, you're wasting your time.

The problems you're going to face, should you ever get an XP disk to load onto your new computer, are the drivers that I mentioned in my earlier note.
