RE: [Simply Computers] dvd driver

 

Do you mean the icon for your DVD drive?

If it's missing in My Computer, try the standard Microsoft Fix first. This
usually brings back a CD or DVD drive that's gone walkabout. Just click on
'Run now' in the Fixit section

If that doesn't bring it back, you could try changing the drive letter in
Disk Management.
Head for "Computer Management" (R Click My Computer >Manage)
Click Disk Management under Storage
Right click the DVD drive and select "Change drive letter and paths"
Click on Change.... and assign a new drive letter further down the alphabet
Click on "Ok"

But hopefully the Microsoft FixIt solution will do the trick.

My dvd driver is not showing up on my computere Says the device is working
ptoperly so why is it not showing. Seems to be running ok
