You can get usb supported floppy drives for about 40.00 us dollars
So don't worry about the connections.

If it's that old then it's definitely time to retire it, and put it up for sale. I'm sure that someone would be willing to pay what it is no longer worth; there are people who would value it as the antique that it is.
